PostHeaderIcon Bakafox Web Building?

Just what I need: more projects to enjoy!

In my first post on this new site, I touched very briefly on how I was getting more involved with the Big Bend Arts Council.

Well, it turns out, I am getting quite involved, as I am the one trying to completely rebuild their website into a dynamic, community driven forum and resource hub.

Between the building of this site, and the work on that site, I have discovered that, while I have not turned into a completely professional expert by muddling through the server databases and software extensions, I do quite enjoy slapping together basic, and even fairly complex sites.

So I am giving some consideration into officially branching out into web development and design- and once the big BBAC project is done, will be accepting some comissioned jobs building the basic skeletal structures of sites for a very - VERY - reduced rate while I am still learning.

Raindrops   Lady of New Mexico Fire in the Water Buggy II As an offering to the masses in celebration of the new Bakafox Studio site, I have uploaded a multitude of my older photography and some tribal designs that were, at one time, to be paid content wallpapers on my original website. On this new incarnation of Bakafox Studio however, they are free!

They are licensed to you under a limited non-commercial license.

PostHeaderIcon Big Changes at Bakafox, Online and Off

2004 Bakafox LogoGreetings! After several years of semi-hibernation, the foolish fox has woken up and is ready to regroup my cohorts, remodel my studio (website too!) and revive my muse.

With the soon-to-be-finished addition of a 14x24' studio building, I will be expanding the studio's projects greatly. Not only will I be continuing with drawing and painting, but I will begin working with fused glass (with my lovely assistant/co-creator Rosemary) and  also have hopes of delving into printmaking (mostly lino-cut and solar etching).

Of course there are other projects I intend to work on beyond even those categories- I still want to get several more of my designs plasma-cut into steel to become wall hangings or free-standing sculptures, work a little with textile arts, and really, try out anything else I can fit into the building and surrounding yard.
